Our Operating Costs

The current operating cost of each of our six beds is approximately $300.00 per day, which is a fraction of the cost of an acute care bed in hospitals.  We work in partnership with the Community Care Access Centre (CCAC) to access the hours of nursing, support care and equipment that our residents would have received in their own homes.  This partnership allows us to augment the services provided by our IAH staff.  We also rely on our volunteers to offer support to our residents and families and to perform many of the household and administrative tasks necessary for the smooth running of our House.
