Events

Walk/Run for the Care

Our families and supporters come out and walk or run in memory of a loved one to raise money for the hospice, and then enjoy a BBQ picnic lunch. It is an opportunity for our community to come together in support and remember our loved ones.

Memory Wall

The Memory Wall is situated on the grounds of the hospice. A reception is held for families and friends on the grounds of Ian Anderson House when the panels are back in the garden. Families are also welcome to visit the Memory Wall at any time.

Tree of Lights

The Tree of Lights Celebration is a Hospice tradition around the world. Each year the event is held on the first Sunday in December on the grounds of Ian Anderson House. Families are invited to join us for the lighting of our tree, Carol singing, desserts, and hot chocolate and cider.

Memory Wall

The Memory Wall, which is situated on the grounds of the hospice, was conceptualized and funded by Margaret Anderson, Founder of Ian Anderson House. We engrave the wall annually, with residents names whose family have made a donation for a “Day of Care” for our six residents.

A reception is held for families and friends on the grounds of Ian Anderson House when the panels are back in the garden. Families are also welcome to visit the Memory Wall at any time.

For more information about the Memory Wall, please contact Michelle Lambert (905) 337-8004 ext. 237 or michelle@ianandersonhouse.com

Third Party Events

A Third Party event is an event that is created and hosted by an individual, group or organization that is not Ian Anderson House, but is for the benefit of Ian Anderson House.

Each year many generous individuals and organizations host events in support of the hospice, and we are truly grateful for their efforts and generosity. We rely on third party events to help us meet our annual budget requirements.

If you are interested in hosting an event, or for more information, please contact Heidi Harrigan, our Volunteer and Event Manager by email at heidi@ianandersonhouse.com or by phone at (905) 337-8004.
